Monthly Wellness Provider Mixer

Sexploratorium is launching our inaugural monthly wellness mixer  and  product show-and-tell specifically for health and wellness professionals. Enjoy snacks and networking opportunities and check out products that could potentially benefit clients with diverse health and wellness challenges.

Tuesday October 25, 5:00-6:30 PM is the date and time of our first event. The topic is Sex & Ability and will focus on concerns and options for persons with limited mobility.
Location: Bring a sweater for this first mixer, because (weather permitting) this event will start in the back patio of Passional Boutique & Sexploratorium for the first hour and then move indoors. In the event of inclement weather, the mixer will move to an accessible room of Old Pine Community Center at 4th and Lombard.
Chelsea Wittlich and Isabel Kaufman host the kick off discussion on Sex and Mobility

She co-facilitated a National Sexual Health Leadership Course online for medical students provided by the American Medical Student Association and co-taught an undergraduate course called The Psychology of Gender at Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey as part of her graduate-level practicum experience in the summer of 2016. She enjoys facilitating monthly potluck-style Q&A discussion workshops at Passion 101 Classes to encourage the normalization and exploration of a variety of sexuality topics.
About Isabel Kaufman: Isabel is a passionate and enthusiastic activist and educator dedicated to promoting awareness and increased acceptance of people with disabilities as autonomous and sexual beings. For the past 6 years, she has combined her interest in sexual acceptance, with her skills as an educator and experiences as a person with a disability toward realizing this goal. She leads workshops on disability and sexuality and participates in disability pride events. Isabel is a member of the organization ADAPT, which strives to better the lives of Americans with disabilities by rallying lawmakers to change public policy. Isabel co-taught a general human d class at Montgomery County Community College this past year. She also taught a lesson about consent and sexuality at Chongqing Technical and Business University in Chongqing, China. Isabel received her M.Ed in Human Sexuality from Widener University.
Sexploratorium plans to host these informal meet ups monthly, with each meeting focusing on a different specific health and wellness challenge that humans are likely to face at some point during their life spans.
The goal is to share information with providers about products that are of specific interest and potential benefit to persons with specific health concerns and to network with providers from diverse fields of practice for the purpose of providing resources to clients who seek information.
