Tuesday September 6 at 7:45 PMThe, The Ties That Bind Us AA group is hosting an open memorial for Marcia Zimmerman, known to many of her friends and admirers as “Mistress Electra” . Marcia/Electra died in North Carolina on Tuesday, July 6th after a valiant battle with leukemia.
Marcia was a great friend to Fetishes Boutique as we opened in 1998. In 1999, she helped to found The Ties That Bind Us , a leather community AA group that continues to meet at Sexploratorium in Philadelphia every Tuesday.
Marcia moved from the Philadelphia Area 5 years ago to North Carolina, where she continued to occasionally assist in our booths when we sold at conventions in the south.
At Marcia’s request, there was no funeral services for her at the time of her death. Her husband Bill (North Carolina) and best friend Bobbi (California) agreed to scatter her ashes into the Atlantic and Pacific ocean.
All friends of Marcia/ Electra are invited to celebrate her life with The Ties That Bind Us on Tuesday at 7:45. The Memorial will be followed by dinner at a local restaurant.
